Honour Woman tells the love story of Madame Butterfly from Giacomo Puccini's opera of the same name. Amouage has therefore assigned different facets of the opera to the individual nuances of the fragrance: Tuberose represents danger, jasmine represents fidelity, gardenia represents secret love, lily of the valley represents purity of heart, and white carnation symbolizes innocence. A base of sensual incense, amber, and opoponax symbolizes her tragedy.
